24 - Hour incident response coverage in and around the GRYD Zone in an effort to reduce gang violence and engage families impacted by gang violence

Responsibilities: Lead Case Manager:

• Serves and engages gang-involved youth or young adults, between the age of 14 years and 25 years in a GRYD Zone • Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments with individuals to develop a case plan • Completes documentation and provides services consistent with program needs • Assists clients with obtaining benefits with WorkSource, YouthSource and FamilySource Services • Participate in planning meetings at Summer Night Lights ("SNL") sites in or near the zone • Makes home visits to assist clients and family with services needed • Maintain triangle of protocol with LAPD, and GRYD Office • Plan strategies to engage local gangs/crews proactively maintain peace • Maintain all documents and case files; complete incident response reports and log follow up activities in the GRYD database

Requirements: • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in related fields preferred • 5 years' experience working with At-risk families/individuals or gang population • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel; database experience strongly preferred • Valid California driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation • Effective written and oral communications skills; bilingual Spanish preferred

Additional Requirements: • LA VITA certification preferred but not required • Trained on the GRYD Model of practice and the efforts to Outcome Database • Proven ability to interact positively with diverse groups of client population with varying education and economic backgrounds particularly gang affiliated individuals
