Amazon Flex is currently building a high paced and lean U.K. leadership team to implement and expand Flex capabilities across the UK. Amazon Flex is looking to hire an experienced, passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and (most importantly), customer-obsessed Project Manager to be a part of this team. The ideal candidate will be one who thrives in a fast paced environment, is comfortable working at many levels throughout the business, and is excited by having a direct and positive impact on the front line of the business. This candidate will enjoy balancing short term execution with long term business initiatives and goals, will be motivated by owning initiatives from start to finish, and will be comfortable working at various levels within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Effective management of the expansion of Amazon Flex throughout the UK, and across multiple product lines (Amazon Logistics, Prime Now, etc.)

  • Execute multiple time-sensitive, large-scale projects in defined project timeframes to drive both cost and service optimization and performance

  • Manage milestones with aggressive schedule commitments, and implement appropriate governance to support long term sustainability

  • Drive standardization and consistency within our network while staying within budget constraints

  • Interface, communicate and partner with cross functional teams at various levels of management

  • Work closely with IT, Engineering, Security, Loss Prevention, Safety, Facilities, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Vendors, General Contractors, Operations, and the Project Team to build and secure support and resources for projects

  • Generate ideas and rolls them into the creation of best practices and standardized tools

  • Monitor and report on the progress of multiple project activities including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule

  • Organized, self-starter, quick learner, strong bias for action and drives tasks to completion

  • Ability to work on tight time frames and deadlines, to handle multiple competing priorities and projects and ensure that all parties are providing key information on time for effective decision making and reporting

  • High attention to detail

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Experience in managing and implementing high complexity projects

  • Prior experience in a Technical Product/Project/Program role

  • Experience managing, negotiating, and communicating with internal/external business partners to meet organizational capacity needs

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Excellent technical comprehension, and both verbal and written communication skills

  • The ability and desire to learn new systems, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems

  • Highly organized, ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little to no guidance and tight deadlines

  • Master’s degree/MBA in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or related field

  • PMP or other project management certification

  • Proficiency with MS Project

  • Experience in management within the Transport, Distribution or Logistics industry would be highly desirable
