Head of Marketing (Programming, Launches, and ATL), Amazon Video in London, United Kingdom

We are seeking a talented and experienced marketing professional to lead Amazon Video’s programming, launch marketing planning, and mass media advertising teams across the EU.

This unique and highly visible role will be responsible for leading marketing campaigns that support Amazon Originals and first run exclusive content (such as The Man in the High Castle, Mr. Robot, and Fear the Walking Dead), strategic product launches, and awareness creation; mass media marketing encompassing TV, Outdoor, Radio, Press, and Cinema; and developing the overall calendar of marketing events.

This role will work across marketing channels, the local country and central teams, content acquisition, and production teams across the EU and coordinate with stakeholders in the Americas and Asia. The role is highly visible with regular interactions with senior leadership.


  • Lead the EU programming, launch marketing, and media marketing teams

  • Responsible for setting strategic direction, prioritisation, and tactical execution of our ATL across EU

  • Responsible for calendarisation of our ATL spend (covering Orginals and first run exclusive content, Multi title, Service and Functionality campaigns)

  • Responsible for ATL media planning and buying across EU

  • Accountable for the evolution of our messaging platform, creative and brand development including our brand architecture and identity - working closely with all stakeholders including the local Prime and Global Mass Advertising (GMAT) teams

  • Responsible for the consistent measurement and reporting of the performance of our ATL spend

  • Work closely with the central teams to ensure that overall media mix is aligned and optimised

  • Work closely with the GMAT team to develop appropriate operating model to ensure planning alignment and best practice sharing.

  • Own the experimentation roadmap to ensure we build our understanding of the impact and interplay of all ATL channels and their impact on our online channels and translate this research and insight into actionable plans

  • Build and manage a scalable planning platform that supports our Programming calendar.

  • Manage budgets, approvals and timelines for all ATL campaigns

  • Establishing effective and efficient working relationships with Film/TV studios and other Amazon teams including Amazon Studios, content acquisition, PR, and media measurement

  • Contributing to Amazon’s overall advertising portfolio strategy and investment models

  • Measurement overall effectiveness of marketing campaigns using all analytical frameworks (including Marketing Mix Model) and impact on relevant business metrics

  • Developing test and learn scenarios to continue to innovate and expand media mix

  • Monitoring and analyzing key media buy metrics (cost, quality, and campaign performance)

  • Working alongside global advertising and media planning team on regional/global projects

  • Ensuring professional development of team members

For this role we require:

  • Solid relevant professional experience in programming, marketing planning, media buying, and/or advertising production management

  • Experience creating and measuring success of multi-channel marketing campaigns including attribution of offline marketing on business metrics

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills

  • Strong knowledge of media research, trafficking, tracking and reporting processes, techniques and technologies

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge of TV & Film, entertainment trends, and new platforms [nice to have]

  • Ability to manage and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders including marketing, creative, media, and content acquisition teams.

  • This person must have strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to influence others and strong cross-functional leadership.
