Job Title: Gate Station Attendant
Location: Liverpool, NY
Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday 5am-5:15pm & Wednesday 5am-11:15am
a)Reports to the Operations Support Manager
b)Executes work under direct supervision 10% of the time.
c)Works independently setting priorities 90% of the time.
d)Does not supervise others
Responsible for controlling, inspecting, recording, and tracking inbound and outbound customers, truck, vendor, and visitor traffic, in addition to assisting Transportation and Warehouse department clerks with assigned tasks
a.Verify and Record inbound arrival traffic / visitor information.
b.Contact effected department for entrance authorization and instructions.
c.Provide destination directions and instruction.
d.Inspect and Record inbound vehicle data
e.Verify product returns.
f.Prepare product OS&D documentation.
g.Process Company Driver check-in paperwork.
h.Computer data entry as required-including AS400, TMW, DC Yard Management, and Microsoft Applications.
i.Inspect inbound vehicles
a.Record outbound departure traffic information.
b.Check/Verify outbound driver's delivery paperwork and vehicle assignment.
i.Coordinate correction of paperwork or vehicle assignment errors.
c.Inspect outbound vehicles.
d.Computer data as required-including AS400, TMW, DC Yard Management, and Microsoft Applications.
e.Reefer setting checks
f.Schedule delivery appointments for Dot Drivers.
Occasional Work Performed:
a)Assists safety department with dissemination of company driver notices and messages.
b)Notify safety department of safety or security accidents, incidents, or violations.
c)Assist Dispatch with after office hours driver support (People-net, Total Mail)
d)Scan company delivery receipts.
f)Custom-haul load info and paperwork tracking
g)Clean gate station, windows, floor and furniture and outside area.
Assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work location.
a)12 hour shifts / 3.5 day workweek.
b)Nights and Weekend scheduled work.
c)Outside work in all weather.
d)Works independently during the majority of the shift.
a)High school diploma or general equivalency degree required.
b)Good verbal and written communication skills
c)Strong Interpersonal Skills; ability to communicate positively and effectively with internal and external customers
d)Basic Computer Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Wage Range: $10.89 - $16.34
