Shift varies, must have flexible schedule.
Employer conducts pre-employment background check and drug test.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year performing Security or Social Service work is preferred but not required or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to effectively communicate.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Prior experience with the homeless population is a plus.
Computer experience is a plus.
Bi-lingual is a plus.
CPR and First Aide Certification is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to understand directives and carry them out to completion.
Honesty, Integrity and Trustworthiness a must.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients and staff.
Be aware of available programs and services being offered by the organization.
Maintain good psychological and physical condition as this is a demanding position.
Effective implementation and enforcement of the agency's departmental policies and procedures.
Observation and reporting of any violations of policy or any safety concerns.
Effective documentation of incident reporting.
Monitoring traffic flow and parking on the plaza.
Provide directions and escorts to various services provided by the organization.
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency first responder agencies as needed.
Use communication skills to diffuse confrontational situations.
Be aware of situations that may result in safety hazard or property damage.
Protect all confidential information, company property and electronic data.
Comply with safety rules.
Other related duties as directed.
