You will be responsible for accurate and timely posting of payments to reservations, adjusting and transferring funds and resolving issues for travel agents, client directs and internal team members as it relates to payments.
A sucessful Accounting Clerk II will:
Apply credit card payments, checks and other various forms of payment to reservations.
Handle incoming ACH and electronic funds transfer.
Properly adjust reservations based upon requests.
Process competitive match adjustment requests.
Transfer funds between reservations.
Handle inquiries from client directs and travel agents as it relates to payments or adjustments with effective verbal and written communications.
Work with credit card companies for approvals and releases.
Process payment changes as requested.
Verify bank deposits for accuracy and timely postings to accounts.
Monitor bank accounts for incoming deposits.
Work with Service Offices on collection and application of funds received at airport or destination.
Follow controls and Unique Processes established within the team.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one year related experience and/or training
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Efficient user of Microsoft office: Outlook, Excel and Word
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Must be able to multitask, well organized and be detailed
Customer service skills
Knowledge of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail
