Harris Corporation is actively seeking experienced Information Technology professionals to join our team in the role of Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSA). Initially, this position will be a member of a team charged with preparing NASA's Space Network satellite ground terminals for the integration of the Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment (SGSS), a multi-million dollar technology refresh program. Thereafter, this position will transition to operating, configuring, testing, maintaining, upgrading, and sustaining the delivered system. This position focuses on Information Assurance (IA) and network security. The candidate will plan and coordinate all aspects of system security including the setup of IA processes, system access procedures, encryption management, virus protection policy, network scans, and system intrusion detection. The Security Operator plays a Computer Network Defense (CND) role, identifying network security vulnerabilities, monitoring network intrusion attempts and virus activity, and defending the network by patching or mitigating vulnerabilities. In addition, this position works with Network Administrators, setting up account login credentials for new users or operators and establishing privileges and permissions accordingly. Other duties include encryption management, key management and coordination with NASA and NSA for management of Type 1 encryption. Other critical duties include: Certificate Management, conducting System and Network Vulnerability Scans and Security Audits, and performing Security Device Maintenance.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, physics, computer science or mathematics with 3+ years’ experience, or 11+ years IT & networking experience

  • Familiar with network scanning tool McAfee Vulnerability Manager for performing system security and hardening assessments

  • Security + Certified

  • Conducting post-scan analysis & managing/generating reports

  • Familiar with NASA scan reporting systems

  • Experience with Network and Host-Based Intrusion Detection System Report Analysis for determining real issues vs. false positives or false negatives using reports and log data

  • Experience with Q-Radar SIEM Report Analysis for determining real issues vs. false positives or false negatives using reports and log data

  • Experience with Security Certificates for managing Active Directory, LDAP and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Privilege Management Infrastructure (PMI)

  • Experience with GEMx Lite tools for managing Type 1 encryption devices

  • Experience with remote KS-252 Management

  • This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship

Desired:

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), or similar

  • Familiar with Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Infrastructure and Services Design

  • Familiar with McAfee VirusScan and Network Security Platform Administration

  • Familiar with ePolicy Orchestrator Administration
