TheRegistered Nurseis responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.

The Registered Nurse is a resource person and teacher and is a compatible, supportive team player. The Ambulatory Care Unit (ASU) at the Main Campus consists of 16-private beds and prepares an average of 40 - 45 procedures a day.

Desired skills: Strong IV and assessments skills. Basic EKG or Arrhythmia Identification certifications preferred. Strong pre-op & post-op skills. On call is estimated to be one weekend every 2 months.

Largo Medical Center utilizes complete computerized charting (Meditech) for patient assessment and care documentation, and eMAR to electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to their patients. /Largo Medical Center/ is a statutory teaching hospital with 12 residency programs.   • Current State Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS or Basic EKG or Arrhythmia Identification certifications preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant experience. Will consider new graduates.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Good verbal and written skills required.
