On February 2017, Registered Nurses at WSH will receive a 10% pay increase, which is in addition to the salary listed above. Also, we are adding a recruiting incentive of $10,000. What you will do in this job: The Registered Nurse 3 at Western State Hospital (WSH) supervises, educates, coaches and mentors nursing staff, and fosters a caring environment that respects our patient's dignity. In your role' you collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to maintain a high quality of nursing care for individuals with psychiatric and mental health illnesses. You are part of an interdisciplinary team that plans, delivers and evaluates all patient care provided. We rely on you to take the lead role in case of a medical or psychiatric emergency and therapeutically intervene and de-escalate our patients.
We are most interested in applicants who meet the following desirable qualifications: A qualified applicant for this job should either have a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse OR be able to obtain a valid Washington State license. Those with two or more years of professional nursing experience may be given preference.
