Community Health Systems Sr Inpatient Therapist - Social Services - First Hospital - 1.0 FT D in Kingston, Pennsylvania
Under the administrative supervision of the Director of Social Services and the Clinical Supervisor, this position provides direct clinical and case management services to psychiatric patients and their family members. All assessment, treatment, care and related tasks are performed in consideration of the ages of patients served, knowledge of specific human development and an understanding of the range of therapy needed by these patients. The Senior Inpatient Therapist is responsible for guiding and consulting on clinical matters, supervising graduate and undergraduate students, and performing back up responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor. This clinician is expected to function in an increased independent capacity to utilize their expertise and education.
Master s Degree in human services field; Master s Degree in Social Work (M.S.W) preferred; licensure as a clinical social worker and accreditation by the Academy of Certified Social Workers (A.C.S.W.) preferred; attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to increase awareness of changes in profession as well as to maintain licensure/credentials.
Minimum two (2) years experience working in the mental health field as a clinician. Experienced in individual, group and family therapy and case management preferred. Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and family members/legal guardians; demonstrate verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all disciplines; ability to organize and prioritize multifaceted workload; knowledge of social work principles, including individual group and family therapies and casework activities; practices within the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics; and exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgment at all times.
