The Industrial & Commercial Transportation (ICT) business unit of TE Connectivity has a Material Handler I opportunity for the LADD Distribution site in Kettering, Oh. This position will report to the Manager Logistics of the Transportation Solutions ICT LADD Distribution business unit.

Position Overview

In this exciting role you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately completing a variety of pick/pack tasks to ensure on-time and high quality delivery of electronic connectors to customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Follow standard work orders and utilize RF gun to pick product to fill customer orders

· Utilize scales or manual counts to accurately fulfill order

· Input inventory transaction data into computer

· Shipment of material; domestic and international processes

· Receiving of material from outside vendors

· Running cycle counts and inventory audits

· Reconcile material availability discrepancies

· Flexibility to support multiple duties of overall warehouse responsibilities

· Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities

· Displays strong interpersonal skills and a positive and professional attitude

· Support TEOA (Lean/Six Sigma) activities and responsibilities

Position Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 1 year similar work experience required, 1 year warehouse experience preferred

· Demonstrated excellent communicator (verbal, written, spoken)

· Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment

· Possess superior organizational skills, maintain high attention to detail and a commitment to quality

· Demonstrated ability to work as a team member

· Ability to lift to 35 lbs consistently, up to 55 pounds occasionally

· Ability to work in a frequently changing team environment

· Intermediate computer skills

· Automated materials storage systems knowledge preferred

· Knowledge of multiple Carrier shipping processes preferred

· Cycle count/physical inventory, auditing experience preferred

· Fork lift (sit down) experience preferred

· ISO knowledge preferred

· SAP experience preferred

· Experience in Lean/ Six Sigma preferred
