Assistant Professor 9 Month (Tenure Track)

Position Summary:
Faculty members deliver instruction, carry out research, perform service for their respective professions and community, and participate in the management of the University through shared governance. Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession. The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the University.


The successful candidate shall be able to teach undergraduate courses offered in the department including courses in physical education and health education teacher preparation such as Team and Individual Sports, Physical Education Curriculum, Adapted Physical Education, Organization and Administration, Motor Skill Development, Tests and Measurements, Health Education Strategies, and Theory of Coaching courses. The temporary faculty-teaching load consists of fifteen credit hours per semester.

Minimum Qualifications: An earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree appropriate for the discipline and professional experience appropriate to the discipline is required.
