Global Technology Architecture (GTA) is the JPMC technology architecture organization for the firm. The group charter is to promote first class technology architecture and engineering capabilities across the JPMorgan organization, with consistency of approach to four architectural disciplines: business, application, information, and technical architecture, as well as implementing a firm-wide approach to the Chief Development Officer and Chief Information Officer roles.

The Firm wide Chief Development Office (FCDO) within Global Technical Engineering & Architecture is responsible for providing thought leadership around technology development strategies, multi-year roadmaps to deliver against those strategies, establishment of platforms, process and frameworks for improved and efficient application delivery across JPMC.

Job Summary:

This role is for a Test Automation Architect. This role is not a test lead for an application, but rather an initiative lead for a Firmwide effort to transform the way software testing is conducted. The ideal candidate for this role should have a good understanding of various SDLC methodologies and worked in environments where these methodologies were used. Candidate should possess a clear understanding of the Agile principles and experienced in working transformational programs / projects. Candidate should possess a good understanding of testing practices across the SDLC, including unit, functional, performance, penetration and regression testing. The candidate should understand principles of Test Driven Development (TDD) and experience driving test automation for a project or program.

A working knowledge of various test automation tools is essential. Should be able to compare and contrast various methodologies as it relates to software and provide guidance in a clear and concise fashion. The candidate should be able to work individually and with a set of engineers from across the firm in defining the direction for entire organization and able to develop a transformational plan, socialize it across the organization and work with individual teams to implement the plan.

Hands on experiencing in conducting and documenting assessments and provide clear direction based on quantitative data collected. The candidate should be able to work with multiple teams and obtain buy-ins where required and flexible enough to adapt to changing requirements while working on initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The candidate should ‘own’ the Test Automation domain for the FCDO. The candidate is responsible for creating a Test Automation Strategy in alignment with the Firmwide Software Automation initiatives and work with all Lines of Business (LOB) to create a blueprint of the transformational effort. Develop and drive a Test Automation Strategy that will be followed across the firm by all application development teams. Generate frequent status report to communicate progress to the FCDO and senior leadership. Schedule and drive planning, design and implementation meetings with various groups and collect and consolidate feedback to enhance plan.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 8 years experience in Testing and Testing methodologies

 3 years leading a transformational project

 Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience

 Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies

 Experience in Test Data Management tools

 Experience with developing / supporting automation using automation tools such as Selenium / Selenium Grid / JUnit / Cucumber / etc.

 Experience with continuous delivery and automated deployments (such as Jenkins, OpenShift)

 A good understanding about Continuous Integration, Continuous deployment and DevOps processes

 Previous development or Quality Assurance Automation is required

 Familiar with Quality Automation strategies & technologies

 Expert in developing automation framework

 Ability to communicate project status and present to senior leadership
