HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Registered Nurse RN NICU Neonatal Intensive Care (Needs Fulltime 7pm-7am experienced Nurse) in Jacksonville, Florida

The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nursing Director/Charge Nurse for the delivery of quality patient care utilizing the nursing process. The quality of care given will be in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and the department of Nursing and will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community. The position requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associates, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate, or otherwise present information in written, auditory, or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for the position.

Patient Assessment/Documentation Provides and documents patient care based on the nursing process in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Plans, delegates and coordinates the nursing care of assigned patients. Utilizes basic physical and psychosocial assessment skills to identify actual nursing diagnosis/clinical problems based on assessment of patient and unique age specific needs.
Patient Rights The Registered Nurse will work to support and protect the rights of each patient served, treats each patient with dignity and care, and maintains patient confidentiality/privacy. Patient Safety Demonstrates commitment to patient safety initiatives including patient falls, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products. As part of the Women's Services team, the Charge Nurse demonstrates commitment to all infant security measures. Patient/Family Education Provides appropriate patient/family education, per department and hospital policy and procedures.

_Required Education: _ Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Level entry training may be a Diploma Program in Nursing, an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing _Required License/Certifications:_ Florida RN License, American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider Cert., NRP _Required Experience:_ Minimum of 1 year of experience for full time and part time staff and PRN positions
