To work with an engineer/scientist/mentor on ultrasound imaging projects that enhance diagnostic confidence and improve customer workflow.
To own and lead a sub-part of an imaging project and deliver quality work according to a schedule.
To effectively communicate with their mentor and Siemens USD regarding any issues encountered and successes achieved.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
The educational requirements of an intern are:
BS in engineering or physics
Matlab and/or C++ programming ability desired
Ultrasound: A basic exposure to medical ultrasound imaging, beamformation, image formation, signal processing, acoustics, and tissue acoustic properties.
Transducer: Some understanding of array responses.
Clinical Applications: Some general knowledge of clinical applications (Cardiology, General Imaging) and a basic ability to communicate with clinical specialists.
Duration: 3 months to 6 months
