Engility Corporation is seeking a Software Test Engineer for an immediate position on a growing program in Indian Head, MD. The successful candidate will be experienced in designing and executing test cases, following test plans, and reporting and documenting test results.

  • Act as Test Director for the POR (Not Initially).

  • Set standards for manual, automated, and ad hoc testing.

  • Manage all test events for N4 CC, Portal, and MFK Develop all testing documentation for PjM review and final approval.

  • Brief testing material to LCCB and CCB if appropriate.

  • Work with developers to build assessments of ECPs.

  • Manage Automated testing effort to automate all test cases.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of testing experience.

  • Secret Clearance

  • Obtain COMPTIA Security+ certification within 3 months of hire. Company will reimburse once passing grade achieved

Desired Qualifications:

  • COMPTIA Security+ certification

  • Experience in testing practices

  • Excellent problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting, and negotiating skills

  • Experience working with release procedures, test methodologies, QA process and software defect tracking

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to comprehend complex usage concepts and assess an application's ability to fulfill them

  • Understanding the development and delivery of master test plans, test cases, test reports, and other program documentation

  • Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate test methodologies including writing test plans and test cases

  • Experience in creating, reviewing and executing manual and/or automated test cases

  • Apply an understanding of distributed systems to configure test environments and execute test plans

  • Work with the software development team to troubleshoot and remediate issues in production environments

  • Analyze and understand each project's environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested

  • Use the selected defect tracking and test case management system to document test sets, record defects and record test case execution results.

  • Experience with Automated Test tools and frameworks
