This Team Member is responsible for providing financial insight and decision-making support to senior management in regards to strategic investments related to acquisitions, financial due diligence, financial reporting for acquisitions during the transition period, and support of the corporate integration team. Perform routine financial modeling and due diligence of acquisition targets, including trends and comparisons to historical, budgeted and forecasted results. Obtain reasonable assurance regarding the accuracy of the sellers financial statements, agree to the financial model, and communicate results to senior management and integration team. Partners with peers at the acquired business as it pertains to financial information that ties to both the due diligence process and integration of the newly acquired company into Stericycle/’s existing business. Settle working capital, perform purchase price allocation and intangible valuations, prepare auditor memo, and develop plan for financial integration during the transition period. Reconcile deal related items such as monthly revenue and expenses, working capital and revenue guaranty. Review purchase agreements and supporting documentation to determine necessary tracking and reporting requirements Liaison with Stericycle’s Finance and Tax Departments to ensure transition of necessary information and documentation from acquired companies. Perform other related duties and work on special projects as requested, including continual improvement of the financial integration process.
Education equivalent to Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Three to six years of work experience in a finance/business environment, demonstrating superior spreadsheet modelingand presentations skills along with robust knowledge of MS Excel. Demonstrates broad academic and practical understanding of finance and accounting concepts such as NPV, IRR, etc. Demonstrates the ability to develop productive relationships with management and peer groups within the business units. Ability to work independently and anticipate the needs of the business and M&A department.
