Accelerate your your Nursing Career by joining our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN) program! Our Nurse Graduate Program is designed to help you prepare to succeed in an acute care hospital setting. The program is comprised of a combination of didactic training, high definition simulation and clinical preceptorship at the sponsoring facility.

As an RN in our StaRN program, you receive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill and knowledge you'll need to become the highest caliber nurse. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by the best, most highly educated and trained nurses within our facilities.

During the StaRN program, you will work with instructors to complete class assignments, skills training, exercises and relevant testing. Then, you will work with your preceptor during the six to seven week preceptorship that follows. At successful program completion, you will be a full-time hospital employee with specialty training, established relationships and familiarity with our values and culture.

  • Current Licensure as an RN in Idaho by the program start date
  • Applicants may apply for the program prior to passing the NCLEX exam
  • Self-motivated and strong communication skills required
  • Acceptance into the program requires a two year commitment to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center
