Qualified applicant will become part of our Huntsville, AL based Logistics Management Program supporting multiple government customers in supply chain management, integrated logistics operations, and performance based business practices adherence to lean / best practices and concepts. These business concepts will be applied to management practices in all aspects of Program Management and weapon system sustainment, e.g., Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control and Total Asset Visibility, including shipping and receiving, configuration management, distribution management, training, field and depot maintenance, and software integration.
This position is multi-functional and includes components in logistics database entry, database management, support of basic maintenance tasks, and functioning as team leader for Care of Supply in Storage (COSIS) support. Qualified individual will possess relevant management experience in the inventory and supply management of products throughout the supply chain; experience in computer database management of equipment is required. A basic knowledge of mechanics and the ability to perform basic repairs on vehicles and generators is required. Qualified individual will have experience in warehousing/supply chain management and will be capable of analyzing, recommending approaches, and planning for the delivery of necessary training and program management support in compliance with current Commercial and Government best practices.
This is a Huntsville based position with the possible option of overseas deployment.
Roles and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Leading COSIS team support actions
Daily supply and inventory management through use of Logistics Management Database tool and physical warehousing
Integrated shipping and receiving
Configuration and distribution management
Support software integration and training initiatives
Support end-to-end fielding and maintenance management of program equipment
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
Support the coordination, and facilitate the operational aspects, of other current planning, project-team, and line management
Communicate with executive, administrative, and line management personnel to gather or convey relevant information
This position includes a large amount of physical warehousing,vehicle maintenance, generator maintenance and scheduling of all Depot level maintenance requirements.At most locations, candidate will be the only point of contact for the program.
Must have a minimum of 8 years of progressive working experience as a technical manager in at least one of the disciplines of Technical Program/Project Management: Cost Management, Life-cycle Management, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Packaging, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T) or Project Administration and Contract Management involving such efforts as Engineering Programs, Scientific Studies and Analysis, Logistics Programs, System Acquisitions or related programs consistent with current Industry and Government practices
Be experienced in Supply and Warehouse management in a leadership role (manager, supervisor, team leader, etc); preferably within Government or Military operations
Have excellent verbal and writing skills
Able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Must have held an active clearance within the last 3-5 years.
High School degree with 8 years of direct experience
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, unassisted
Minimum of 2 years full-time, professional, technical experience related to Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) systems
Bachelor's Degree, or higher
Experience supporting integration of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Item Unique Identification (IUID) applications
Experience establishing Warehousing operations
Active US Security Clearance
