COLSA provides support to the AMRDEC SED Cyber Solutions Center. This position will provide a Information System Security Officer: Under limited direction, leads the design, test, operation and implementation of secure operating systems, networks, and applications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Identifies, tests, and implements secure applications, systems, and network products to find secure solutions for enterprise-wide or enclave cyber systems and networks.*
Works with a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, data, and networks. *
Develops RMF packages, checks compliance with STIGS, runs vulnerability scans. *
Develops security procedures and related documentation. *
Helps ensure adherence to cyber policies and guidelines. *
Evaluates and makes recommendations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the security program. *
Provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future cyber needs and trends.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 to 10 years work related experience.
Experience using eMASS is required.
Security+ CE is required.
Ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings.
SECRET security clearance is required.
Experience using cyber tools for vulnerability analysis (e.g., SCAP compliance checker, ACAS scans, HBSS)
Technical/IT experience (e.g., system administration, network administration)
