An oilfield services company located in the Galleria area is adding a Corporate Development Analyst to their team. Responsibilities include:
Tracks oilfield services sector and E&P; activity through various external systems, investor research reports, and other sources to provide insights, trend data, and detailed market intelligence in support of sales and business operating decisions.
Monitors competitive and market landscape in terms of customer demand, competitor supply and distribution capabilities, pricing, trends, and other key factors and maintains database to track and report statistical data.
Integrates market and data research information with sales and business information to provide sales team with trends as well as new sales leads and opportunities
Updates and maintains long-range demand forecasts, production cost curve and delivered cost curve for business decision analysis and to support Corporate Planning initiatives.
Coordinates and communicates with appropriate personnel and levels of management for each function or activity being analyzed.
Develops broad and deep understanding of competitors and market forces in order to help refine business strategies. Leverages data mining techniques to forecast future trends and probabilities.
Identifies key business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats related to the business. Presents conclusions, makes recommendations and drives actions based on the data.
Support Corporate Development team in preparing presentations for senior management and board-level approval items.
Support Sales team to provide best practices and tips on Salesforce usage including training, documentation and support as necessary. Customizes reporting and dashboards and provides reports and report training. Ideal candidate will have a Degree in accounting or finance; CFA, CPA or MBA preferred and 4+ years' experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial income statement analysis.
Previous background and experience with supply chain functions in oilfield service companies or large logistics or industrial distribution companies is highly desirable.
Proven experience and demonstrated comfort level in extracting, consolidating, and analyzing large sets of data from ERP and other supply chain or operations systems required.
Experience with search engines, web analytics, business research tools and emerging technology platforms and services required.
