HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Cardiac Cath Lab Supervisor in Houston, Texas
The Cath Lab Supervisor is a Registered Nurse, Registered Technologist or Cath Lab Technician with 24 hour, 7-day/week responsibilities for all operational aspects of the Cardiac Cath Lab. The position encompasses human resource management, including recommending sufficient number of qualified and competent personnel to provide care; financial and clinical management, and the provision and development of professional leadership. The Cath Lab Supervisor establishes departmental goals and objectives that ensure high quality, cost-effective patient care, while working collaboratively to integrate the goals of the Cath Lab with West Houston Medical Center. The philosophy of continuous quality improvement (CQI) is integrated by the Cath Lab Supervisor into all ongoing operations and activities of the department. The Cath Lab Supervisor functions as a member of the Cath Lab team. Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
- Documented minimal experience of 5 years in Cardiac Cath Lab as a RN, surgical or scrub technician with RCIS certification preferred
- Current verification of competency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). ACLS recommended.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
