Dell Sr SW Quality Engineer(s) in Hopkinton, Massachusetts
Worksite: Hopkinton, MA, and various unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Job Duties: Conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Responsible for tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance and serviceability standards. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action. Ensure that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved. Debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for products. Perform development and execution of software quality methods and processes. Implement and define testing methodology and standards to improve results. Provide solutions for wide range of complex problems. Author and execute test cases and testing methodology for manual and automated tests. Develop new test methodologies or processes and re-evaluate existing processes. Accountable for delivery of subsystem, anticipate issues and addresses them proactively. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Comp. Sci., Engin.(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 24 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) requirements and defect tracking software; 2) Linux OS; 3) scheduling systems; 4) source code repository; 5) automating test case creation utilizing product-based journaling/scripting and Python; 6) API testing; and 7) regression test management system. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
