_Customer Service_ * Promotes a caring, friendly atmosphere focusing on the customer * Participates in and supports methods of measuring patient’s satisfaction * Is Courteous and polite when responding to internal and external customer concerns * Ensure the patients wait time in the clinic is less than 60 minutes * Ensure Web Check-In works well for the patients, lobby wait time for Web Check-In patients must be 12 minutes or less. * Uses proper etiquette when speaking with patients. Introduces self and states purpose * Addresses patient concerns with a nurturing and courteous attitude

_Training and Education_ * Participates in mock codes, fire and disaster drills * Cross-trained to perform authorized lab procedures within 6 months of employment * Follows all federal, state, and local laws and statutes * Follows OSHA, infection control, hand hygiene, and safety guidelines * Reads and implements all policy changes, memos, weekly reminders and other communications * Attends all meetings and classes

_B/O Skills/Nursing Procedures_ * Performs procedures and treatments according to physician’s orders and department policies and procedures * Follows universal precautions * Follows all protocols for occupational medicine patients * Maintains strict confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines * Triages, prioritizes patient care, and balances patient care with phone calls/computer queue duties * Maintains a sense of urgency and works efficiently * Assists with opening and closing duties, including counting money * Keeps current Skills/Nursing knowledge base: theory and practice

_Equipment and Maintenance_ * Maintains all equipment in good working condition * Comes to work with all supplies/equipment * Calibrates Audiometer and Spirometry (if applicable) * Operates autoclave efficiently and participates in monthly cleaning and spore testing

_Record Keeping and Ordering_ * Documents according to policies, orientation materials, and current medical standards * Notifies Practice Manager of needed supplies and checks medical supplies and medication against invoices when orders come in * Accountable for completing logs daily and holds co-workers accountable for doing so

_Scheduling_ * Responsible to work scheduled shifts as assigned * Participates in mandatory weekend on call rotation (one implemented) * Reports to work promptly - 5 minutes before start of shift * Willing to work days, nights and weekends * Willing to help surrounding clinics in need

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed by the State, certified paramedic or medical assistant
  • Good knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
  • Familiarity with organization, function, policy and procedures of the clinic
  • Maintains current CPR certification
  • Maintains continuing education requirements as required
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
