Boeing is looking for skilled Meteorologists with a strong operational mindset and mission focus to support a critical customer program. Position duties include but are not limited to: • Work as part of a world class Technical Services team. • Provide mission critical support to a fascinating technical capability throughout all phases of operation (pre-mission, in-mission, post-mission). • Provide real time information on current and predicted weather conditions for multiple system test environments. • Research, gather, quality check, and augment current weather information and forecasts from multiple sources to provide the most detailed and accurate understanding of the local environment. • Summarize relevant information into presentation format, generate and deliver weather products for real time environmental evaluation. • Continually refresh weather information during mission execution to maintain precise knowledge for mission safety. • Track weather information and perform trend analysis along with possible real time and forecasted impacts to mission performance. • Study and research system performance characteristics and how they relate to various weather conditions. • Manipulate Graphical User Interfaces and maintain situational awareness of surrounding environment. • Develop tactics, techniques, and procedures for sustainable operations. • Work in a team environment and interface with mission partners to enhance operational effectiveness. • Provide input to operational planning and mission development products. • Provide actionable recommendations during operational debriefs and planning sessions. • Draft and coordinate operational communications

Basic qualifications/ Experience: Current Top Secret/SCISecurity Clearance withCI POLYGRAPHis required for this position. Position is contingent on clearance verification, adjudication and customer concurrence.
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Skills/ Experience: • Ability to quickly identify and respond to anomalous weather environments • Demonstrated experience with weather forecasting and tools • Proven expertise in meteorology • Detailed understanding of relevant weather statistics and prediction indicators • Expertise in interpretation of weather satellite imagery, climatology reports, computerized weather prediction models, and Doppler weather radar imagery • Expertise in analyzing various types of weather elements such as clouds, wind speed, fog, visibility, atmospheric pressure, etc. • Expertise in oceanographic, meteorological and space atmospheric conditions • Experience operating real time weather programs and computer interfaces • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure environments • Experience in operational planning and execution • Familiarity with communications systems and computer networking • Experience authoring technical documentation and training materials • Experience utilizing multiple computer OS is a plus (ie Linux, etc.) • Working proficiency using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.)
Typical Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
