Our OSI Electronics (OSIE) division is a diversified manufacturer of electronic devices and value-added manufacturing services for use in a broad range of applications, including aerospace and defense electronics, security and inspection systems, and medical monitoring and diagnostics.

This role reports to the Opto Group Controller with a dotted line to the OSIE President. The Controller has responsibility for managing OSIE NA overall and, in particular the OSIE NA, Altaflex, and Mexico finance and accounting function. Finance functions include accounting, reporting, and financial planning and analysis.

  • Financial reporting of monthly results to the OSIE NA, Altaflex and Mexico in accordance with the Corporate Calendar. This includes various required reports and interface with corporate staff.

  • Review and analyze month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial data.

  • Operational analyses as requested and needed for the OSIE NA Operations, including but not limited to pricing analyses, contribution margin analyses and operational analyses, amongst others.

  • Monthly preparation of OSIE NA, Altaflex and Mexico financial statements with appropriate analysis to highlight variances from budget and forecasts.

  • Identify potential operational or accounting issues at all OSIE entities.

  • Proactively provide timely analysis and interpretation as required to communicate specific issue within OSIE finance and OSIE operations.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, company procedures and government reporting requirements, as necessary.‚Äč

  • Monitor sources and uses of cash for OSIE.

  • Interface with internal and external auditors.

  • Interface with Corporate: Finance, Treasury, IT and HR to help solve OSIE issues.

  • Coordinate and compile annual budget.

  • Coordinate and compile periodic forecasts.

  • Ad hoc analysis as required by OSIE President, Opto Group Controller, Corporate Controller, and CFO

  • Integral part of the OSIE NA management team.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.

  • BS/MS degree in Finance or Accounting, (CPA preferred).

  • Strong and mature leader. 5+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role

  • Operationally savvy and proactive to identify and resolve issues.

  • Well rounded background, in a manufacturing environment, which includes cost accounting, A/P, A/R, budgeting, month/year end closings and familiar with ERP systems.

  • Several years of progressive experience in financial management for a manufacturing company.

  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, accounting, budgeting and forecasting methods required.

  • Excellent organizational, interactive, and communication skills.

  • Periodic travel, as necessary.

  • Computer literate and familiar with spreadsheet and database application software.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
