Assistant Controller Responsibilities - Take on coordination and leadership over external financial audits - Finish month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, as well as financial statements - Provide GAAP mentorship for technical accounting, external reporting, and support to the Company - Handle monthly financial executive package and control book to include budget to actual comparisons by department - Prepare and maintain account reconciliations/analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts - Oversee treasure functions to ensure timely payment for vendors and maintain accuracy of cash forecasts - Assist in developing the accounting team, which includes staffing, performance management, and training - Manage policies for reporting and accounting - Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to participating in system improvements, impromptu analyses, and special projects as assigned - Supply external monthly and quarterly reporting packages to Board meeting decks
