General Motors GM Finance Analyst - Customer Care and Aftersales - FIN0006238 in Grand Blanc, Michigan

General Motors (GM) has several openings for experienced financial analysts, including positions within its North American Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Finance Team.

The CCA Finance team is a multi-function team, managing a full income statement and balance sheet for GM’s North American Service Parts Operations. The finance team includes all of the core operational finance functions including: sales & marketing, pricing, purchasing, supply chain/logistics, FP&A, plant/warehouse operations, accounting, business development, and cash/credit/collections. Additionally, the North American CCA Finance team functions as the global lead focused on partnering with executive management and all areas of the business to maximize customer satisfaction and the profitability of GM’s part sales and service operations.

Basic Skills Required

  • Strong analytical skills/ Fundamental knowledge of finance

  • College degree(s) with a major in finance, accounting and/or business related degrees. MBA preferred.

  • 2+ years of finance experience in Corporate Finance, Operating Finance, FPA, Banking, Public Accounting or Treasury

  • Ability to grow within General Motors and learn multiple operating finance areas (Product Development, Supply Chain, Sales Service and Marketing, Manufacturing, etc.)

  • Demonstrated networking and cross-functional collaboration abilities

  • Understands the business/operations (a business person first, has an operating mindset)

  • Ability to concisely summarize large amounts of data to drive decision making process

  • Familiarity with budget and forecasting processes

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and can apply external market knowledge / information to drive internal decisions

  • Experience in use of common financial tools: ROI & NPV

  • Project management and problem solving skills

  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles

  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and partnerships

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (effective communications up/down/across the organization)

  • Highly proficient personal computer skills including advanced Excel skills

  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints

  • Provides accurate, timely and reliable reporting and controls

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision
