Arcadia University, Domestic Study Coordinator (part-time) in Glenside, Pennsylvania

This person will have primary responsibility for managing administrative aspects of an NIH study entitled The neurophysiology of pain and exercise in rotator cuff tendinopathy (site PI is Dr. McClure). This will include coordination of subject recruiting, scheduling and communication with study personnel including the research therapist, treating physical therapists, subjects, and physicians involved with the study. This person will also assist with day to day budget management including purchasing of supplies and payment of subjects and other study personnel. They may also assist with data reduction and other record keeping functions related to informed consent and testing. This position is subject to availability of grant funding.

Essential Functions

  • Communication with study personnel including the research therapist, treating physical therapists, subjects, and physicians

  • Patient recruitment through various strategies

  • Scheduling of screening and testing for patients and control subjects

  • Budget management and ordering of supplies

  • All record keeping associated with the study forms and data

  • Assist site PI with reporting to primary PI and NIH

  • Managing IRB associated communication and documents

  • Update and manage website associated with study as well as study-related social media Marginal Functions

  • Assist with testing

  • Assist with data reduction and data entry where needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in managing research projects including recruitment and record keeping functions

  • Must possess mature judgment, professional demeanor and appearance, and possess cross-cultural sensitivity

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems implement projects independently

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with others

  • Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently and to work efficiently and accurately within deadlines

  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications, Google applications

  • Social media expertise related to recruitment

  • Website experience preferred; facility with other web-based applications as needed.
