Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, Master’s preferred, 3 years or more in a leadership role in a relevant healthcare industry, or more than 6 years relevant healthcare experience.
- Leads and oversees financial planning, policies, procedures and practices.2. Commitment to a high standard of customer service.Additional Responsibilities1. Serves as liaison on financial matters among management.2. Ensure that budgets and projections are completed timely and accurately utilizing Ascension Health system technology tools for DSS, capital planning, budgeting and forecasting.3. Works in collaboration with the finance team to ensure coordination for major projects, board of director reporting and other system initiatives.4. Contributing financial expertise in the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue.5. Managing costs by coaching and educating direct reports while continually seeking data that will identify opportunities. Influence action to eliminate non-value costs in conjunction with leadership.6. Responsible for the monitoring of financial performance, conducting organization-wide performance improvement activities, and the maintenance of reasonable and appropriate financial plans and forecasts.7. Education of leadership with respect to the Finance ministry wide function and the importance and impact of One Ascension on performance.8. Develop more meaningful and actionable financial analytics to support data driven decision making and effective performance improvements. Identifies potential impacts and consequences of financial decision making on operations, healthcare, human resources and quality of care.9. Accountable for delivering excellence across Finance functional areas remaining vigilant to continuously driving change to ensure efficiency and high quality of care.
