Under the direction of the Region Controller, the Director of Accounting, North Market is responsible for all accounting and coordination of external financial reporting for the North Market of Ascension Wisconsin. Ensures proper internal controls are established and executed to preserve the integrity and timeliness of financial statements including operational practices included in the Ascension Account and Reporting Manual (ARM) and the Financial Reporting Playbook. In coordination with peer Finance leadership provides support to operational leadership in the areas of financial analysis, productivity management, operating and capital budgeting, expense management, and creation of a pro forma. Ensures regulatory and grant specific controls are in place to meet A133 audit requirements for the North Market. The Director of Accounting, North Market works with the Ministry Service Center to coordinate financial reporting and accounting for centralized services including, but not limited to, fixed assets, project management, accounts parables, payroll, and treasury management. Assist with the preparation of governance committee and management meeting as needed. Coordinates with peer Accounting Directors to establish and manages centers of expertise for Ascension Wisconsin. Coordinates with Accretive and local Patient Accounting team to properly account for and report patient accounting activities. Assist in the preparation and review of internal and external audits including annual Ascension Health financial statement audit and Procedures Agreed Upon audits. Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting submissions to the system office.
