Position Description:

Peachtree Dunwoody Outpatient Surgery Center has six ORs and one procedure room all dedicated to ophthalmology. Northside combines expert care, the latest in diagnostic and surgical technologies and the ease and convenience of an efficient outpatient facility to offer specialized surgical treatments for many eye diseases including cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cancer of the eye and diseases of the eyelids, retina, and cornea.Performs various tasks and duties to provide technical assistance and support to medical/surgical staff and personnel during and in the turnover of surgical procedures. Specializes in Ophthalmic procedures within surgical services and potentially works with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Is responsible for coordinating supplies and equipment for service and physician needs as directed by supervisor.

Position Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, or equivalent job experience and demonstrated competency to perform the duties of a Surgical Technologist. Preferred: Certification in Surgical Technology. Surgical Technologist with one (2) or more years of experience. General procedure experience in outpatient setting preferred.

Retina, Cataract and Oculoplasty experience required.
