Fuse Engineering System Engineer (AX-DO6071601) in Ft. Meade, Maryland
We are looking for a System Engineer who will analyze functional business requirements and design specifications for functional activities. Candidates should provide identification/fixing for the problems within existing systems design/implementation of new systems, enhance the existing systems and participate in analysis, design and new construction of the next generation IT systems.
Responsible for understanding need of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the architecture and engineering team and COTS products. Must possess experience of system engineering in one or more areas including telecommunications concepts, computer languages, operating systems, database/DBMS and middleware.
Must have OS Experience: Rhel5 Rhel6 Rhel 7; experience with yum repositories, Logical volume management, OS build/hardening, IPtables, Apache webservers, Perl bash script, installation and configuration of OS. Solaris 10; experience with Logical domains (LDOMs), Installation/Configuration of software packages, Apache webserver. Windows 2003, 2008 and, 2012; Experience with Installation and configuration of OS and related software, Citrix XenAPP, SCCM, WSUS. VMWare; experience with installation/configuration of ESX servers, VN clients configured for high availability, cloning, upgrading, ESX software, Snaptshots (Creation and restoration from), VM settings (CPU, Network, Memory, root cause analysis). NetApp/EMC Storage; experience with NetApp Cluster Mode and 7 Mode, Configure CIFS and NFS volumes, managing inodes, troubleshooting issues for root cause analysis. Active Directory/Centrify; experience with AD creation of OU’s, Groups, Users, Group Policy as it pertains to T315 policy and procedures; experience with Centrify Direct Control.
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly; Appropriate DoD 8570 Certifications; Doctorate and 4 years experience, Master's degree and 6 years experience, Bachelor's Degree and 8 years experience, Associate's Degree and 10 years experience, OR High School Grad and 12 years experience in System Administration.
