Epoxy Products & Intermediates, a division of Olin Corporation, has an opening for a Work Activity Coordinator , located in Freeport, TX.The purpose of this job is to provide primarily Maintenance Coordination support for the Epoxy Intermediates Allyl Plant. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing urgent and scheduled work execution to completion as well as developing job plans for urgent work. The individual will be housed in the Allyl 1 Maintenance shop.

Essential Duties:

  • Reviews P1 and E PM orders (Urgent Work) for required information, accuracy and need date
  • Ensures scope of work is clearly defined and understood
  • For urgent work, checks with Planner to see if an archived job plan exists and develop a job plan
  • Assists Planner in developing job plan as needed as well as reviewing archived job plan for accuracy
  • Reviews job with resources per schedule and incoming urgent work. This includes in-house and shared, leveraged or outside service providers
  • Works with the scheduler to reassign jobs when needed
  • Progresses job sequences daily in Scheduling Tool
  • Reviews Delays to ensure that all delays are accurately defined and that appropriate steps are taken to prevent reoccurrence
  • Initial contact of shared, leveraged or outside service providers. Communicates arrival with formen and operation
  • When Outside Service providers are needed, consults with the Scheduler and submits One-Time PO requests as needed
  • Addresses issues with service providers that are impacting productivity and schedule attainment
  • Reviews Labor, Equipment and Material in CAT's and SES each day
  • Generates BOL, travel log, PO as necessary for compliance valves. (P1 and E)
  • Reviews Job Package for completeness. If not complete, work with Planner to obtain missing information
  • Ensures that the Procedure Use Policy and safety standard requirements are being met
  • Leads safety tail gates and hands off Job Packages to Formen
  • Reviews PM Order Closure Report upon job completion for completeness and accuracy
  • Accountable for knowing and understanding the applicability of safety standards for the work being performed. If unsure, escalates concerns to the appropriate resource (EH&S Delivery, ZML, etc.)
  • Ensures that a high level of housekeeping is maintained in the shop areas
  • Communicates incomplete scope or work order information with to operation focal point
  • Communicates throughout the day with operation focal point, and I&E WAC prior to work assignment meeting
  • If the job cannot be carried out or equipment is not prepared for maintenance, communicate to operation focal point and work to resolve any operations issues.
  • Ensures equipment is properly Returned To Operations (Safe Work Permits, Red Tag Master sign-off, RTO Checklists, etc.)

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Industrial and/or Chemical Process Environment experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a 2 year technical school is preferred
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment is critical
  • Must be willing to work within the Maintenance Work Process and help resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling of I &E work
  • Must be willing to make call outs and work overtime per plant needs
  • Strong field work knowledge and background is a plus
  • Some instrument and process control (Mod5) knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP is a plus
