HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Testing Manager- Revenue Cycle & Technology in Franklin, Tennessee


This position will be responsible for all aspects test planning and resource allocation for a specific Business Solution and Testing Tools and Automation Solutions. The Test Manager will be responsible for working with the Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure that all applications have been assessed or tested for quality. This will be accomplished by assigning testing resources to each project or solution, following of testing standards and use of testing tools. Along with project oversight and management the Test Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that all test team members are following defined testing standards/practices and using testing tools that have either been defined by the overall testing process or unique processes that have been identified for a specific business solution unit. Provides leadership in the research of industry trends and assessment of new Parallon IT&S testing tools and ensures new developments, industry trends and improvements are implemented, as applicable. Provides management and support of IT&S testing tools, which includes development of standards, implementation, and ongoing support.

They will also be responsible for, leading, and coordinating the design, development, and execution on Parallon automation efforts testing, and ensuring testing tools meet the needs of the Parallon user community by staying current in technical and process developments. Ensures tools are aligned to testing tools processes, and identifying and evaluation of new tools and technologies. They will assist in the organization, planning, and monitoring of testing activities.

People management will also be a key part of this role this will include daily management of Test Analysts. This includes development of goals, defining and assisting team members in achieving training and career goals and development and delivering performance reviews. They will have to maintain relationships with staff, leadership, and key stakeholders. The successful candidate must be able to provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to the testing team.


• Oversee all testing activities for a given business solution • Works with Product Owners and Project Managers ensure proper allocation of testing resources to a given project team and/or initiative. • Works with the peers to ensure proper communication between testing teams, synchronization of processes and tool usage between test teams and other areas. • Work with team to ensure work load balance, mentoring, development, knowledge transfer and training. • Assesses metrics and measurements to track test processes and quality of application/ solutions, and efficiencies • Documents, tracks, and communicates the status of the testing for a given business solution and/or initiative. • Manages the design, setup, and maintenance of the testing toolset and environment and proactively assesses needs. • Ensure testing statuses, problems, gaps, and deficiencies are communicated in a timely manner to the management team. • Assists with research, strategic planning, and planning improved testing tools and practices. • Help resolve outstanding issues having to do with the quality of the product (known risks, resource needs, QA cycle and or processes not be followed by project teams, etc.) • Ensure proper team communication and relationship with Business owners, development, business analyst, and various other teams. • Work with Auditing team to address outstanding testing issues. • Lead Testing teams in process and tool improvements within the Business Solution test area. • Daily management of the team members. This would include mentoring, coaching team members, developing goals, assessing training needs and career paths as well as delivery and input to performance reviews for testing resources. • Open line of communication with stakeholders and executive leadership.



  • 7 years of hands-on experience in an automated testing environment with at least 3 years in management/supervisory


  • Undergraduate college degree preferred or equivalent experience considered


  • Experience can substitute for education
