Position Summary:

Serve as the general manager of the Framingham campus Office of Admissions with the responsibility for managing Admissions personnel, daily operations and functions within the Office of Admissions, and directing the selective admissions processes for restricted academic programs. As well as, assist Framingham campus inter-office coordination, including collaborating with Academic Advising, Registration and Student Accounts.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist the Director in leadership of the Office of Admissions & Recruitment, with management responsibility for Framingham office staff including supervising all staff including MCCC and AFSCME personnel and (directly or indirectly) work study students and any temporary staff assigned to the office;

  • Design and direct selective admissions processes for all restricted programs, including integrating appropriate technological solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy and directing the work of Senior Admissions Counselors assigned to administer these programs;

  • With Admissions Coordinator, select, integrate and maintain technological solutions and operational procedures for selective admissions programs and Framingham Admissions more generally;

  • Assist the Director of Admissions in the development and implementation of Admissions strategy and recruitment plans;

  • Serve as, or direct the work of, Framingham-based SEVIS DSO and assure international students access to assistance with completion of admissions applications/documentation;

  • Review weekly and monthly admissions and enrollment data to assist the Director of Admissions with student funnel data and territory management for recruitment cycle;

  • Carry out and monitor office and college policies and procedures as they relate to admissions and enrollment, including Dual Enrollment, ESL and other specialized programs;

  • Ensure that the delivery of customer service is student-centered and consistent within the office;

  • Direct and participate in recruitment activities and provide information on college opportunities and admission policies and procedures;

  • Assist in direction of Office of Admissions & Recruitment in the Director-s absence;

  • Represent the department on College committees and task forces, and in the larger community;

  • Perform related work as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, Liberal Arts or closely related field;

  • Five years of supervisory experience in a higher education setting with three years of experience working in non-Admissions areas of higher education and at least one year of experience working with criteria-based allied health and nursing programs;

  • Ability to travel in order to visit recruitment sites and conduct other work activities;

  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours;

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Must be committed to the mission of the community college and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with professional, non-professional, and student personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole;

  • Leadership-oriented educational credential beyond minimum Master degree.
