Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm, every other weekend rotation
High School Diploma/GED
CNA, EMT, or Paramedic certification/license?
Nursing student in accredited program-completed 1st clinical
Two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role?
Two year (2) years military medical experience?
Summary: Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity delivers a variety of high quality, basic patient care services that meet the needs and uniqueness of assigned patients. Is responsible for the delivery of quality care and service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior. Education: High school diploma or the equivalent with a GED. Effective May 3, 2015 - Must have either current CNA, EMT, Paramedic certification; OR two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role; OR two year (2) years military medical experience; OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN), having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required). Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Licensure/Certification: Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire. Experience: Prefer one year minimum of experience working in the patient care setting, preferably as a patient care giver. Other Qualifications: Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
