THE CENTECH GROUP Business Development Representative in Falls Church, Virginia

THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. (CENTECH®) is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to assess new potential business in the federal marketplace and directly support the business growth efforts of the chief growth officer. This qualified professional will focus on developing key businesses and supportive relationships with Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) for joint business growth plans to immediately affect growth. The person in this position will also have current market insights for specific agencies and opportunities (U.S. Department of Defense [DoD] and Civilian) and will utilize these relationships, or if needed establish new partnerships, to grow our business offerings as a subcontractor to these firms and when appropriate prime opportunities having these partnerships as subcontractors.

The work location is at our corporate office in Falls Church, Virginia. Only local candidates with recent federal government contracting work experience in federal sales/business development will be considered.

  • Assess and lead the qualification process for new potential business opportunities

  • Provide detailed market analysis and strategies tailored to specific agency/customer needs

  • Identify and maintain key relationships with partners and customers

  • Apply industry standards/practices to develop added value offerings

  • Assist with overall capture, bid review and proposal response efforts

  • Implement the teaming and partner strategies based on gap analysis results

  • Identify potential business development risks and development avoidance and mitigation strategies

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Recent, five (5) years of experience in a business development role for small/mid-sized government contractor

  • Thorough understanding of federal government business cycles, bid, and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. Federal civilian/DoD/Intelligence experience required

  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing and most importantly, interpretation skills

  • Track record of developing and maintaining various pipelines

  • Competitive work ethic to pursue new lines of business, customers and partners
