ICF is hiring a motivated marketing and communications analyst/associate to join our marketing team. The communications specialist will assist in planning, developing, and implementing communications, marketing, and advertising strategies that support our government and commercial clients. We want someone who is passionate about our clients issues, eager to jump into new work, and has the skills and attitude to be successful. This position is based in Fairfax, VA (or Atlanta, GA). Minimal travel is required.
What you will be doing: * Researching, drafting, and implementing strategic communications plans * Developing articles, press releases, newsletters, email campaigns, presentations, web copy, fact sheets, talking points, scripts, and social media on behalf of clients * Coordinating projects with internal teams, including Creative Services, Digital Technology Solutions, and other ICF teams * Assisting with media monitoring activities and development of monitoring reports and analyses * Supporting client relations, including routine communications (agendas, meeting notices, follow up notes), basic budget management, and client satisfaction
Basic Qualifications: * A bachelor s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising or related major * 4 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations * Detail oriented and strong work ethic * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines * Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and different communications channels (e.g. print, web, broadcast, social media)
Preferred Experience: * Ability to quickly grasp complicated material and create easy-to-understand content. * Experience with content management systems and/or email marketing systems * Understanding of various communication channels and how they work (print and broadcast media, social media, media relations) * Experience with media monitoring systems (e.g. Cision or Vocus) * Experience working in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
