*Position Summary: * Under medical direction this position provides for the implementation and coordination of Respiratory Care procedures based upon the Policies and Procedures of the Respiratory Care Department. In addition to the performance of all routine respiratory procedures the Respiratory Practitioner will be responsible for special procedures, within his/her scope of practice, maintaining and improving clinical competence, practicing universal precautions, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and performing any other duties deemed necessary by the shift supervisor. Also provides consultation, collaboration and education to the medical staff, multi-disciplinary care team members, and patients/families. EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: * Graduate of American Medical Association (AMA) accredited Respiratory Therapist Program

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * Respiratory Therapist License (required) * NBRC accredited Registered Respiratory Therapist * American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred) * Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (preferred)
