BAE Systems Procurement Anst Sr in Endicott, New York

This position is part of the Procurement Compliance Group for the Electronic Systems Sector (ES). The Candidate will be responsible for updating ES Procurement Procedures, and providing guidance in understanding / adherence to these procedures. The Candidate will be responsible for training / mentoring of procurement personnel in applying our ES Procurement Procedures (ESPP's), conducting audits of procurements and subcontracts on a monthly basis and supporting Government or Customer audit requests. Candidates will be expected to revise Procurement Procedures to keep up with regulation or policy changes and be able to communicate these changes to the Buying community. the Candidate should be able to draft written and verbal communications for the purpose of training and mentoring procurement professionals by contribution to monthly news letters, conducting lunch and learn presentations and involvement in annual compliance trainings conducted at each ES site. A successful candidate for this position, has the ability to work cross functionally and be flexible I working through specific procurement situations to find the best solution that meets our customer needs while maintaining full compliance to our ESPP's and FAR regulations.

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience

Experience with at least two of the following is required:

  • Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Previous Procurement or Subcontracts experience

  • Solid Computer Skills (word, excel, MRP, Power Point, etc)

  • Experience with communicating at all levels of employees as well as Customers

  • Experience with Government Contracting or Government Finance Experience with writing Policies and Procedures
