Position: The primary responsibility of the Software Quality Engineer III position will be to develop, execute, and maintain project QA test plans and test cases for all assigned QA projects. Other responsibilities include test data and environments set-up, test coordination, defect management, and test result verification/reporting. In addition to manual test execution, this position is also involved with test automation for their project. This position ensures that all benchmarks are being met and reported accurately to the project teams, QA Lead, QA Manager, and all other ALLDATA stakeholders.
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Create and develop test plans and test cases from specified project requirements and use cases. Coordinate and organize testing activities for assigned projects. Execute Manual and automated test cases. Create, maintain, and report all test results. Accurately report and track defects through the defect management tool. Pro-actively report “red flag” issues to QA Sr. Test Engineers and Leads.
Formulate and develop measurements to determine the effectiveness and progress of the manual/automated testing efforts. Coordinate the test set-up for all assigned projects, including environments, test resources, and test data.
Update changes and maintain all documentation related to the QA testing process. Develop and maintain effective communication skills in working with both technical and non-technical team members.
Keep current on new technologies, tools, and concepts related to the QA test industry. Assist in improving processes by sharing new ideas. Attend project meetings and review as the Quality Assurance representative.
Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in Computer Science or related computer/engineering field, or equivalent.
1-2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering, creating and implementing test documentation, and use of Version Management tools.
Windows platforms; Microsoft Office, Front Page and Project; basic UNIX experience.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
