Raytheon Systems Engineer II / Anti-Tamper in El Segundo, California

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons. Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a talented systems engineer to join the Navigation and Secure Systems Department as a Systems Security Engineer (SSE). This department provides a wide range System Security Engineering services and products to its customers. This position is within a technical growth area; we are looking for individuals willing to apply their engineering knowledge to the system security engineering or program protection disciplines of anti-tamper, cyber security, software assurance, supply chain exploitation, and threat and design vulnerability analysis. The candidate will develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity without appreciable direction. The assignment includes representing the organization as the prime technical contact on projects. The SSE will interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with an experience in Engineering (system, software, mechanical and/or embedded), and demonstrated ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. These activities include: - Applying System Engineering disciplines to programs, especially in the domains of Program Protection - Managing System Security Requirements Development and Verification for new development and deployed systems - Performing requirements analysis to ensure that requirements are complete and traceable in a requirements management system, such as DOORS - Creating System Engineering documents - Analyzing and integrating security architecture and ensuring requirements are established, allocated, and maintained - Discovering and analyzing security flaws or vulnerabilities in software, systems, applications, and providing mitigation strategies - Giving technical presentations to both internal and external customers - Participating in technical peer reviews throughout the product lifecycle of design, development, integration and test, and flight test requirements verification - Interfacing with their team lead, team members, and other teams (SW and HW) on a daily basis - Participating in customer and/or program technical reviews; Providing task progress status updates and work products to the team lead * Required Skills: - Minimum of 6 years of systems engineering or equivalent engineering experience (physics, embedded software and/or hardware) - Experience with requirements development, analysis, derivations, verification and/or validation on complex multi-processors real time systems - Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication capability - Must be able to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers - Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to commencing work - Active Secret is Preferred Desired Skills: - Familiarity with Program Protection, NIST/RMF process, cyber systems analysis systems, anti-tamper, Supply Chain and/or Risk Management Software Assurance - Experience in design and development of Radar and/or EO/IR Systems; Familiarity with C, C++, Python - Experience with real-time operating systems - Qualified Six Sigma Specialist - Active DoD Top Secret clearance - Existing SAP/SAR Clearance - Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Microsoft Project, engineering tools (e.g., DOORS) and peer review products - Active or recent CISSP or equivalent Certification - Demonstrated technical leadership experience * Required Education: - Bachelors of Science degree (BS) in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related technical field; advanced degree(s) preferred 89521
