PORT OF EDMONDS Port Operations Assistant in EDMONDS, Washington

We are seeking a qualified candidate over 18 years of age to assist with the daily functions of the Marina and Moorage operations as a full time Port Operations Assistant. The successful candidate in this position will: • Be responsible for front counter Marina office operations including; front-line customer service with a friendly and professional attitude, providing information on Port regulations, Port facilities, fishing and marine conditions, answering telephones • Guest moorage and loan-a-slip coordination, reservations and record-keeping • Dispatch staff to fuel dock, public launch, Travelift, and Dry Storage • Cash handling, till reconciliation and daily operations of the point of sale system, collecting and balancing daily revenue for launching, fuel sales, moorage, Travelift and boatyard operations • Arranging Travelift and boatyard appointments, reviewing BMPs and Hold Harmless paperwork with customers, collecting payment or applying charges to customer account, recording boatyard locations • Operate all of the following Port equipment: boat launcher, fuel dispensers, dock-n-pay system, point of sale computer, office equipment and Port vehicles • Assist Moorage office with filing and record keeping • Perform daily cleaning procedures in restrooms, offices, floats and other public areas • Implement special programs such as, Destination Port of Edmonds program (document receipt of bag and cards, provide shuttle service, explain program, and track comments) • Monitor fuel supply, conduct daily guest moorage/loan-a-slip and boatyard checks • Audit boatyard customer accounts weekly to ensure charges and payments are current • Identify, collect, store and record disposal of hazardous waste materials collected by the Port. Assist with cleanup • Assist with and/or provide docking and securing of vessels • May act as a Lead on occasion for opening and closing office and fuel dock operations • Contribute to on-going maintenance projects as needed such as painting, pressure washing, replacing whalers, landscaping clean-up, cleaning trenches Required Licenses: Valid drivers license, CPR/AED Training, Hazardous Waste Certification Special Skills: • Customer Relations and Communications courses • Vocational courses related to customer service, safety, and technical equipment operations For complete job description and details on how to apply for this position visit our websitehttps://portofedmonds.org/business/employment/
