*Wage:* $14/hr, $14.50/hr, $14.75/hr (Shift Differential)

*Shift:* 1st, 2nd, 3rd

*Hours:* 6am-2:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm, 10pm-6:30am

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Equipment Operator at a company in Edgerton, KS. This is a temp to hire position for 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Transportation offered - direct bus route from 10th/Main to job site in Edgerton.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*

- Participate in training & certification for powered industrial truck (Raymond strand up reach truck)

- Ensure products are stocked and fronted according to planograms and keeps aisles clear and neat

- Care for DC equipment by refueling and charging when necessary

- Notify Department Manager/supervisor/lead when products in box do not match box description and record what was received versus what is missing

- Ensure efficient disbursement of product from receiving to appropriate department

- Ensure good housekeeping standards are in place and programs are executed daily to guarantee that DC (including work areas) is clean and organized at all times

- Monitor power equipment use, ensure it adheres to Spectrum Brands' safety standards, and report any violations to immediate supervisors

- Re-sort incorrectly sorted items by delivering items to the specific department

- Notify manager/supervisor of customer complaints, dissatisfaction, and procedure violations

- Participate in recycling programs by making sure proper materials (e.g., appliances, plastics, and batteries) are recycled (e.g. cardboard bale, appliance trailer, or front of DC) as appropriate

- Detect common signs of theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate to management and Loss Prevention

- Perform receiving duties, and inventory maintenance

- Ensure all damaged items are placed on an assigned pallet and remain in the receiving area

- Ensure product is put away in proper locations

- Prioritize orders or the replenishment of short allocations

- Safely stage, wrap and load trailers

- Verify and audit locations for SKU accuracy, both in quantity and product

- Count and audit locations per the Cycle Count Program

- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping neat-sweep, dust and mop


- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics business operation preferred

- 1-2 years of experience operating a stand up reach truck preferred

- Ability to read, write, understand and effectively communicate pertinent information and standard operating

- Must be able to function in a quick moving, highly interactive team environment

- Demonstrate organizational skills

- Ability to stand for entire 8 hour shift

- Ability to lift 40lbs occasionally

- Routinely lift 10lbs
