[POSITION SUMMARY] Initially under the direction of the Director of Credit Risk Review, the incumbent will be required to build out the Commercial and Retail Credit risk review function for Santander NA and SCUSA, inclusive of developing charters, policies, procedures, reporting requirements and documentation, sampling protocol, portfolio analysis requirements, continuous review functions, methodology, structure, roles/responsibilities and corresponding training in accordance with FED and OCC guidance as well as Industry Best Practices. Assist in GAP analysis between current practices utilized within current organization risk, workout and internal audit functions and proposed new Credit Risk Review Function. After the initial phased under the direction of the Unit manager, plan and participate in the business unit assessments of the Banks and SCUSAs lending units to assess overall asset quality, risk and compliance with established underwriting policies, procedures, limits and concentrations. Assess the quality, quantity, direction and overall credit risk in the organization through planned vertical and horizontal reviews, oversight of portfolio monitoring functions such as promontorios, watched assets reviews, TDR reviews, new origination reviews, credit risk/solvency reporting and other portfolio monitoring reporting. Lead reviews as assigned, inclusive of preparation of summary, findings and recommendations. [POSITION DUTIES] Assist Director with the development of the Annual Credit Review Plan.,Assess asset quality, status and appropriateness or existing risk controls/compliance with established underwriting policies/risk tolerance. Ensure underwriting credit analysis is sound and justifies/mitigates the identified credit risk. Ensure credit c,Follow up and track recommended remediation from prior reviews. Review various management credit risk reporting to identify emerging risks, recommend deeper dives as required,Ensure risk rating integrity and timeliness of rating changes. Ensure appropriate specific reserves are in place and charge-off are taken timely. Ensure appropriate workout and pre-workout strategies are identified, tracked and validated.,Perform continuous monitoring of the Banks portfolios through participation in quarterly reviews, HLTs, promontorios and watch assets meetings. Monitor historical performance through review of various credit metrics and credit risk reporting, inclusive,Participate/lead onsite examinations (i.e. Reviewer in Charge). Qualifications

[QUALIFICATION] MBA or Formal Credit Training Desired [EXPERIENCE] Between 5 - 10 years [SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE] Ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior management across the Bank,Ability to strategically generate well supported conclusions based on trend analysis, credit risk due diligence performed, understanding of the Banks risk appetite and assessment of managements capabilities.,Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent understanding/competency in regulatory matters and compliance,Good working knowledge of Commercial and/or Consumer Loan policies/procedures,Good working knowledge/ industry expertise of regulatory matters,preferably concentrated in credit risk functions, commercial loan review, regulatory environment or commercial lending
