We are seeking a high energy, Primavera P6 scheduling trainer/instructor to drive key training initiatives and promote a high performance project planning culture. This position will be responsible for improving and delivering training to develop scheduling skills of program schedulers and other project stakeholders. You will influence internal processes, identifying and developing processes that support and improve productivity and efficiency. This position is a high-impact role with exposure to all levels of the project execution organization and many different functional roles, partnering with Scheduling, Earned Value and other program management leads.
Overall responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing employees to become qualified in building and maintaining project schedules which are compliant with DCMA and Pratt & Whitney methodology.
Working with partner organizations to align training curriculum.
Maintaining and improving a comprehensive onboarding program that covers entry level beginners to seasoned field experts.
Ensuring all training and certification is aligned with Pratt and Whitney processes and procedures.
Performing scheduling duties in support of the program business rhythm as required to maintain appropriate level of in depth processes.
Implementing department process improvements.
Acting as local ACE point of contact, engaging team members in the application of ACE tools for process improvement.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in scheduling programs independently (i.e. Primavera (P6), MS Project, Open Plan.
Familiarity with schedule integration tools such as Primavera Risk, Fuse (for quality analysis), SAP, MS Project
Demonstrated understanding of earned-value management principles and their application to complex projects.
Experience on DoD compliance programs and reporting requirements.
Effective communication and presentation skills with groups of varying sizes. Must deliver material with professionalism and a clear, decisive message. Incumbent must be comfortable leading training classes, supporting the development of new classes and be self-motivated.
Ability to understand and explain project planning processes to technical as well as non-technical users
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesize in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience. Proficient in MS Office Programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities. Superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
