The Coordinator of Advanced Clinicals is responsible for ensuring ongoing training, support and refinement of the Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use initiative as well as additional support for clinical applications throughout the facility. This individual participates in the company-wide community for CPOE, changes and works with their facility peers to ensure advanced clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility. The Coordinator also supports in Evidenced-Based Clinical Documentation (EBCD). Additional responsibilities include assisting with C-Tracker, eCQM, and other new applications as they are implemented.
Primary responsibilities include the following: • Implementation and support of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE, EBCD and other clinical applications and tools. • Development, execution, and support of education plan, tools and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, EBCD, Meaningful Use and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented. • Facilitation and project leadership of the CPOE, EBCD and advanced clinical system functions implementation. • Resolution of complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources. • Evidence Based Order set review, approval, and education within the facility. • Evidence Based Clinical Documentation review, change control, and education within the facility. • Oversight for Advanced Clinicals reports. Develop/oversight of performance improvement activities for areas of concern. • Oversight for EBCD reports. Develop/oversight of performance improvement activities for areas of concern. • Resolve unsigned telephone and verbal orders that have aged and orders that have been rejected. • Ensure that physician documents are signed and in the appropriate status to become a part of the legal medical record.
Responsibilities • Identifies gaps and opportunities in departmental process mapping of current state and the future state workflows • Provides system and operations expertise for implementation of process & system changes • Provides on-going support and order workflow support • Participates in systems training for project team, serve as Super User for Clinicians and staff • Provides specialized support for physicians and staff • Assists/develops base education/training materials in CPOE and EBCD to support staff training and continued education • Actively supports and promotes systems standardization, utilization, and best practices in the area of CPOE, EBCD and Meaningful use • Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned • Assists providers and staff with correction erroneous documentation • Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement
Experience required/preferred: Required: • Experience with clinical applications support or equivalent Preferred: • Teaching/education experience • Proficiency in Meditech/CPOE • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Customer service orientation and/or training
