The GCCX team is responsible for connected vehicle technology services for General Motors globally. General Motors is a leader in connected vehicles, with advanced telematics services such as OnStar and new connected infotainment systems now launching in Chevrolet, Cadillac and other GM vehicles around the world.

Global Connected Customer Experience (GCCX) has opportunities for interns in different areas of our business:

Engineering:

When a vehicle is connected, we can interact with that vehicle and communicate with the world around it. Engineering works behind the scenes to provide customers with Internet-connected vehicle infotainment systems with personalized, easy-to-use interfaces similar to smartphones and apps.

Customer Experience:

General Motors strives to be the best automotive company in the world. This can be accomplished by making the best vehicles, and also by providing the best customer experiences. It is important that no matter how our customers interact with us (web, mobile, telephone) we are providing a great experience. Vehicle ordering, roadside assistance, and onboarding a new vehicle to our connected services provide us with opportunities to build relationships with our customers.

GCCX Operations:

The profit arm of GCCX, the operations group focuses on identifying opportunities to increase core revenue delivering services our customers want - how they want it. Core services subscriptions, basic services connectivity,

Wi-Fi/Data sales, to name a few.

Urban Mobility:

As a company, we are all about mobility - about moving people. That doesn't mean you have to own a car, but it does mean you have a relationship with a company that meets your mobility needs. It's an evolution from just selling a car to capturing a customer's share of miles. It shifts the focus from transactions to relationships. With the recently launched Maven brand, Urban Mobility is entering the exciting market of ride sharing, car sharing and other urban transit solutions. Marketing, mobile apps and fleet management are part of the structure required to make these ventures successful.

General Qualifications

Developing analytical ability to solve problems and resolve issues

Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

You must have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
