Cherry Creek Eye Surgery Center is an off-site surgery center for Rose Medical Center.     The Surgical Technician will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department. Surgical Technician is experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique. Setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; pulling cases for the following day’s cases; breaking down cases at the end of the procedure. He/she is knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, instrument cleaning, maintenance and sterilization, equipment, supply and implant needs and inventories for all types of surgical procedures performed at CCES. The Surgical Technician may rotate to other areas and will perform those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The surgery technician performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions with the philosophy and overall plan for Rose Medical Center. The Surgery Tech displays positive support for the values and mission of Rose Medical Center.

No weekends or Holidays – No call required. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current Colorado Surgical Technician License through DORA Education:

  • Graduation from a surgical technician program, a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) Accredited program is preferred.

  • One year of experience as a Surgery Technician. Competent as a Surgery Technician I (hospital)

  • Able to scrub cataract surgery and load Alcon and AMO lenses, run an infinity or Centurion Phaco machine.(required)
  • Experience with cornea, eye muscle, and pterygium surgery, mini- shunts, and blepharoplasty surgery (preferred)
